is a Montreal based fashion brand started in 2021 by Noemi Raposo & Jose Raposo. A family-owned business and inspired by the creativity within our household, our mission is to imagine and create designs that inspire. #wecreatetoinspire
Story behind our Brand
"My story started as far back as 1996, I was always fascinated by T-shirts with quotes or anything that describes my mood. I studied Computer Programming and always discovering different software to design my new prints. I would either do it online or create my design, buy a blank t-shirt or sweater and bring it to a local print shop.
Growing up, I was called aka. Morena, as I get very dark in Summer Time. There were other nicknames that stuck with me and I thought this is the perfect name for our brand as we've all been called "aka this" or "aka that" once in our lives. The great part about this name, they are the initials of my children. A for Aidan, K for Kara, and A for Adriana."

Our mission is to make a difference through a unique combination of creativity, inspiration, and cultural understanding. A purpose of helping people or non-profit organizations helping those in need.
We want to share our journey with the world and more importantly, create a community where we can all spread positivity, kindness, inspiration and empowerment "one Tee at a time". #wearwhatyoufeel
Just a FUN FACT-
"A Morena is a feminine Portuguese, Filipino and Spanish word meaning 'tan' or 'brunette' used to describe a girl with olive skin tone. A morena can be a white person with a tan and dark hair or more accurately a morena can be a person of mixed race. A morena can be a person of obvious African ancestry (including light or dark skin, curly, wavy or even straight hair, like a mulatto). This word is typically used as a compliment."
